The villa would make a wonderful hideaway for sunseeking groups of friends (as long as fights don’t break out over who gets the master suite!), and it’s a particularly good set up for a family with a couple of older kids. The master suite has a particularly great bathroom, and pamperpusses will adore the oversized moulded stone tub that’s placed just beside sliding doors onto a river-view terrace. This bathroom also makes a great spot for enjoying a massage, and a quick phone call to BaliEpicure is all that’s needed for masseurs to head your way, massage table in tow. We tried it and loved every second – it was all so easy to arrange.
The villa comes with a husband and wife staff team who look after the house and garden, as well as a night security guard. The first breakfast is included in the rate, and after this all other meals are costed according to the price of the groceries. The maid can prepare western breakfasts and simple Indonesian cuisine for lunch and dinner, and she can do the shopping on your behalf if you furnish her with some cash and a list. She works until 5pm and prepared dinner for us before she left for the day. We liked this system as it gave us plenty of privacy in the house in the evening. The kitchen is also well equipped for self-caterers, and a selection of menus (including BaliEpicure) are available for home delivery.
