The Chalina Estate comprises several buildings and an impressive 35m swimming pool resting upon 5300sqm of marvellously manicured gardens bordered by the Pangi River and rice terraces, with glorious mountain views.  The gardens are planted with towering coconut trees, lipstick palms and frangipanis, while a relaxation pavilion ‘floats’ above the pool.

The two-storey main pavilion presents two master suites and a guest room.  On the upper floor, an enormous master suite has a sitting area, and a large balcony furnished with a sofa for relishing the awesome vista, especially at sunset.  The bedroom has a centrally positioned king bed and a sexy ensuite bathroom fitted with a huge stainless steel bathtub and a monsoon shower.  The second master suite is ideal for a family, with a king bed, a study area with a built-in desk, and a mezzanine floor furnished with a queen-size bed.  The room is adjoined by a bathroom fitted with a bathtub and shower.  Downstairs is a study room that can be converted into a twin bedroom, plus a king-bedded guest bedroom, both with ensuites fitted with bathtubs and showers.

Three more guest rooms are housed in stand-alone garden pavilions, furnished with king-size, four-poster beds.  The bathrooms are fitted with walk-in rain showers.  Sliding glass doors open to stone terraces with access to the swimming pool. All of the bedrooms are air-conditioned, and feature dressing areas and satellite-channel TV/DVD players.

A bunk room, with room for 10 extra guests (WC but no adjoining bathroom) is also available for large groups or those holding special events at the villa.

The huge living and dining pavilion is open on four sides under a soaring thatched roof; cooled by ceiling fans and furnished with a large L-shaped sofa around a coffee table.  Four steps lead to up to the dining area where a table seats up to 14 guests.  A professional stainless steel kitchen is positioned behind here.

The remaining pavilion houses an air-conditioned lounge bar and is furnished with two daybeds and a coffee table.  TV and movies can be viewed on a large screen via a projector with surround-sound.  The pavilion features concertina doors that fold open on two sides.  On one side a terrace overlooks the river, and on the other a glass-topped table for eight provides an alfresco dining venue under the shade of a canvas sail.
