Our review
Unbelievably spacious, spectacularly located, beautifully appointed and offers exceptional service.
Unique, luxurious, private and peaceful ……Villa Ananda is a superb illustration of a private villa managed with such expertise that it exudes all of the convenience of a six star hotel. Beach holidays are at their best when, at the end of a long, sandy and salty day, you can shower, refresh and enjoy a long cool drink and a divine meal prepared by the chef. At Villa Ananda, our days were filled with swims in the ocean, searching for shells in the rock pools, enjoying fabulous Thai cuisine and relaxing in style. It is the perfect choice for families or friends. The villa is safe and practical for children – ours had an absolute ball here - yet sufficiently private and certainly spacious enough to give everyone ample room to themselves. Ananda has to be one of the best villas we have seen in Asia. Note this villa does not permit weddings or large functions. If this is something you are interested in look at its sister, Villa Shanti.

Highlights
It is very difficult for us to choose one highlight as Villa Ananda is the epitome of villa luxury. It is unbelievably spacious, spectacularly located, beautifully appointed and offers exceptional service. When the skies are clear, the sunsets are unforgettable - from 5pm you will have the opportunity to take photographs that you will treasure forever; with perfect light and a magnificent backdrop of the green, turquoise and pink. Mealtimes at the villa are superb (daily continental breakfast is included, the rest is on your account). The seafood BBQ of Phuket lobster, tiger prawns and fresh snapper would put many top restaurants to shame. Children are happily and healthily entertained with long swims in the pool, walks on the beach, surfing in the waves and shell hunting in the rock pools – the only issue you will have with younger guests is preparing them to leave.
Surprises
A tropical location like Phang Nga does fall victim to seasonal 'surprises'. Depending on the time of year flies can be bothersome. We found the air conditioning in bedrooms a little noisy and the villa does require some minor maintenance which is no surprise given the coastal location but this equates more to 'touch ups' than anything that effects the pleasure of your stay. Of course families with young children will need to supervise them near water features, pools and the beach.
