Break away to your own privileged space without ever escaping from the sound of the sea.
One of the comments in the villa’s guest book reads, “Wow! What a special place to stay in Bali. Villa Sankara has it all.” For us this pretty much sums it up. It’s a sophisticated, elegant villa in a gorgeous setting beside the sea, with great views. It’s secluded and yet it is only a short drive from Seminyak and there is free use of a car and driver, and that even includes petrol! The villa itself has loads of space, three separate garden areas, lots of relaxation areas, an impressive home cinema, and beautiful bathrooms (each one is different). The family suite is perfect for a couple with two kids, and the shared bathroom in this suite is like a sumptuous boudoir.
We loved the home theatre with its tiered sofas. The pool is fabulous, and this writer’s favourite spot was the upstairs mezzanine with its stunning views of the surf through the tropical trees. Note the pool is called a salt water pool but really this just refers to the filtration system used so is by no means unpleasant.
There are a few maintenance issues, but this is typical of a villa so close to the sea because the salt air is so corrosive. The staff didn’t speak very good English, but they made up for it with big smiles and were very willing to help. As with many of Bali’s beaches the sands are black so get very hot and the sea has a crashing surf – so take great care of the currents.

Dede the Chef, also was truly a fantastic Chef, and such a nice spirit.
If I could, I would kidnap him to come and work in the hotel industry in South Africa.
All the other staff were great too. The house was spotless at all times.
We all hated sleeping on the continental pillows, would have been nice to have normal/extra length pillows. not hose big squares.
