Praana Residence is the jewel in the crown of this delightful five-villa estate in the Bo Put hills. The extent of inclusive facilities and services at this six-bedroom residence is astounding. Spin discs in the club’s DJ booth, strut your stuff on the dance floor or serenade the crowd with some karaoke – a well-stocked cocktail bar will keep the party going. Grab a cigar and a whisky and enjoy a game of poker or billiards while the younger crowd escapes with Xbox or PlayStation in the games room. Later, head to the home cinema and settle back into a leather recliner to watch a movie. Little ones haven’t been forgotten either – the nursery and playroom is kitted out with bright soft furnishings and cupboards full of games and toys.

After so much fun and excitement, you may well crave some down time, and Praana Residence’s six impressive bedrooms, all with spa-like ensuite bathrooms, generously provide the solace you seek. Outdoor relaxation comes easy on the many cushioned sun loungers that flank the 25m swimming pool (there’s a second 12m pool next to the boxing ring), and in the two breezy salas – one for chilling and one for dining.  

Although Bo Phut Fisherman’s Village, with its wide assortment of restaurants, is only 3km away, the culinary talents of Panacea Retreat’s kitchen team (trained by Italian chef Alessandro Verdenelli) are not to be ignored. Delicious meals, selected from the villa’s menu (with plenty of healthy options), are prepared at Panacea Retreat’s professional kitchen and enjoyed in the villa’s dining room table, or alfresco in the sala by the pool, while daily continental or cooked breakfast is prepared and served at the villa and included in your rate.

Praana Residence really does have something for everyone. Holidaying families, partying friends, escaping executives, nature lovers, serenity seekers and fitness fanatics will all fall under its spell.

Praana Residence is one of five villas (see also, four-bedroomed Kalya Residence and Purana Residence, and five-bedroomed Avasara Residence and Atulya Residence) forming the luxurious Panacea Retreat, in Bo Phut Hills.  All five villas command spectacular views over Bo Phut, Big Buddha (Bang Rak) and Chaweng bays, as well as making the most of their stunning jungle and coconut grove surroundings.  The views are equally as spectacular at night, when firework displays from beachfront hotels will often light up the sky.  Encircled by natural vegetation, every villa guarantees total privacy, yet only 3km down the hill is lively Bo Phut Fisherman’s Village where you’ll find shops, ATMs and plenty of restaurants, ranging from Thai and western, to Japanese, Spanish and Mexican.  Do visit the walking street market here on a Friday evening – as well as great street food and cocktails, there are stands selling everything from clothing to handmade décor items, and plenty of live entertainment too.  The market dies down by about 11pm, but if you want to keep on partying the bustling nightlife of Chaweng is only 7km away.

About Bophut
In recent years Bophut has become synonymous with 'Fisherman's Village' as the once sleepy traditional Thai fishing community of wooden clapperboard houses, has morphed into an exciting and sometimes extremely busy shopping, dining and nightlife destination.

Located on the north-east coast just 10-15 minutes' drive to the international airport, Bophut is home to some of the island's leading resorts such as the Anantara and Hansar Beach while the original Fisherman's Village has been extended to incorporate a new shopping mall and outdoor market area and parking, as well as a number of chic new restaurants and bars, with fun seating on the beach and featuring nighttime entertainment such as fire eaters and attracting a young and vibrant crowd.

And the restaurant scene has become an attraction in its own right, with numerous cool cafes and bars, as well as establishments serving a huge choice of local seafood on the barbecue, Italian, Australian and American cuisine.

About Koh Samui
The third largest island in Thailand, Koh Samui is just 21km at its widest point and 25km at its longest. The hinterland consists of forested limestone hills and the shoreline is made up of countless coconut palm-fringed beaches and bays.

Traditionally a coconut plantation and fisherman's haven, in the last few years the island has grown into a major holiday destination with regular connections to Bangkok and direct flights from Hong Kong and Singapore. Despite rapid development, Samui is small enough to retain its charm and its modest size also makes it a convenient, laid back location even during busy seasons.

Beaches like Lipa Noi and Laem Set on the western and southern shores feel much more remote and untouched.

Praana Residence is the biggest and most luxurious of the villas; sprawling over three levels, it abounds with exclusive facilities.

On the entrance level is a floodlit tennis court, complete with ball cannon, as well as the staff quarters, professional kitchen and fully equipped Life Fitness gym. A grand staircase leads to the next floor which has exceptional views over Samui’s jungly interior and houses the full-size, covered muay Thai boxing ring plus the smaller of two swimming pools (10m), an indoor/outdoor chill lounge, and four of the six bedrooms.
 
Also on this floor is the entertainment area, spa, sauna and steam room. Be wowed by a wine cellar with cigar humidor, a huge aquarium, private club with poker table and billiards, a dance floor with stage and DJ set, complete with karaoke equipment, a well-stocked cocktail bar, a TV-games room, and a home cinema with Apple TV and 10 reclining leather armchairs. Kids, meanwhile, will be happily entertained in the toy-stacked nursery and playroom. An office space offers three desks equipped with computers. To the front of the villa lies a spectacular 25m infinity swimming pool, complete with swim up bar, lined with sun loungers and flanked on either side by large salas – one for dining (including a barbecue and outdoor kitchen) and one relaxing on comfortable built-in sofas – perfect for cocktails at sunset.

On the first floor are two more bedroom suites as well as a vast open-plan living and dining area with a handsome vaulted timber roof and floor-to-ceiling glass to maximise the light and views. Equipped with a large flat-screen TV, the living area also features an ornate Asian-style chandelier and a glossy black grand piano. Also open onto this stylish space is a modern, fully equipped kitchen with sit-up bar counter.

Praana Residence’s six spacious bedrooms – five with king-size beds and one with twins – all come with ensuite bathrooms fitted with rain showers and bathtubs (five have garden bathrooms), TV/DVD players, minibars and comfortable sitting areas.
