The Experience
Villa Benyasiri is one of nine villas in the exclusive gated Samsara development; a secluded and private estate enjoying panoramic views to Kalim Beach, Patong Harbour and the Andaman Sea.
Located three kilometres from the main access road, the entrance to Samsara is understated, defying the reality of the views that dramatically unfold once inside the grounds. Every effort has been made to ensure that the estate harmonises with nature, the villas are tucked into the hillside, offering privacy and tranquillity. The entrance to the villa is through cathedral-like bamboo doors, framed by tropical plants and accented with stone and ceramics. Once inside it is difficult to focus on anything but the spectacular 180-degree views framed by the floor-to-ceiling glass doors.
The living space is expansive but understated - no need for television in a space screening nightly, live-action, Hollywood-style sunsets. Indoors extends seamlessly to outdoors, where the 14m saltwater infinity pool – tho’ magnificent – pales against the pristine expanse of blue beyond. Aesthetically, the villa is a combination of modern, minimalist design and traditional materials. Interiors are tasteful and functional without detracting from the panoramic views. The villa comfortably combines wide expanses of glass, brushed concrete and metal with bamboo floors and ceilings.
With its five bedrooms, Villa Benyasiri is a picture-perfect escape for families or groups looking for a relaxing holiday. The views are simply spectacular, and the outdoor entertainment areas surrounding the infinity pool are perfect for drinks, a family meal (seating for 10), a barbecue or a party. For the ultimate view, head up to the hilltop sala (gazebo) perched above the villa.
The villa is air-conditioned throughout and has ceiling fans in most rooms. There’s WiFi access throughout as well as local and cable television. Two staff are on hand to ensure that guests have a comfortable and relaxed stay. From cooking meals to arranging in-villa massages, from babysitting to provisioning, the staff aim is to provide a luxury hotel experience in a private home. The gated estate has full-time security.

A view to die for - a truly spectacular panorama.
A definite party pad, Villa Benyasiri offers Vogue-style views, modern living and contemporary spaces. The owners, who frequently holiday here, have two energetic kids, but if you are travelling with young children who need lots of space, Villa Benyasiri may be a little constraining; families with older children looking for ‘action’ may prefer a less secluded location although Patong is really not far away.

Views, views and more views. If you are looking for a tropical getaway where you can relax in complete tranquillity away from the crowds in a fully equipped luxury villa and enjoy the spectacular Andaman sunset, then look no further.
Surprises
The area is remote. If you have no intention of leaving the villa during your stay, then relax and enjoy. If you intend to tour Phuket, a car can be easily arranged by the villa manager. Families should note the pool is an infinity pool with a drop off – inquisitive kids will need a watchful eye.

Location
Villa Benyasiri is located on a headland between Kamala and Patong, on the west coast of Phuket. The villa, part of the exclusive Samsara development (which includes Villa 2, Villa Fah Sai, Villa Hale Malia, Villa Leelavadee, Villa Lomchoy), is down an isolated twisting service road 3km from the main Patong to Kamala coast road. The villa is remote and a car is essential if one feels the need to leave the villa. There is no direct beach access from the villa which is perched high on the headland however Kalim Beach is just a few minutes’ drive away. The villa is ideal for guests who are looking for a relaxing hideaway vacation and are content to enjoy the luxury of a fully serviced villa holiday. Staff are on hand to provision for food and beverage however, should you wish to shop, Jungceylon at Patong (10km) has a Big C supermarket, pharmacies, banks and money changing facilities as well as a range of restaurants.

About Kamala
A former fishing village, now home to a collection of Phuket's most luxurious properties, Kamala is a case study in transformation. Set along a curving, white sand bay on Phuket's west coast, it has emerged as something of an expat enclave and a sought-after destination for the exclusive set. A holiday in Kamala is great for families and groups with young children with its shallow sea waters and less chaotic vibe, and fishermen-turned-tour guides now offer trips to nearby beaches on their traditional long-tail boats, still seen bobbing in the bay's south end.

A few minutes south of Kamala town, lies the headland known as Millionaires' Mile, a luxury enclave where Phuket's most stylish and pricey resorts and private villas can be found along its stunning coastal road. Besides many elite havens, here you will also find the smart Andara Resort, owned by Hong Kong's famed entrepreneur Allan Zeman, with its popular Silk restaurant, the Hyatt Regency Phuket and the five-star Cape Sienna resort, whose rooftop bar, Vanilla Sky, is a hot spot for sunset cocktails. Kamala is 28km south of Phuket’s International Airport.

Rooms
The entrance level of the villa has an understated but functional living area and large kitchen, which flow through wrap-around doors onto the pool and decks for dining, sunbathing or just taking in the fabulous views. The fully equipped modern black kitchen is beautifully designed with a 5.5m long bar (seats 10) that would be perfect for casual family meals or lazy breakfasts. This floor is completed by a guest bedroom with king bed which enjoys direct access to the pool deck, spectacular views and ensuite bathroom.
The lower level of Villa Benyasiri has been designed with families in mind. Four bedrooms and the home theatre room lead off from a large central family room/hall. The home theatre comes with 96-inch projection television, satellite TV, DVD and Playstation 2 and a stereo system that can play throughout the villa. This room is the perfect place for some respite from the midday sun and can also double as a sixth bedroom.
The master bedroom enjoys open views out to sea and a large, private, outdoor terrace. A giant pyramid skylight showcases starry skies at night while lying in the king-size bed. The sunken bathroom offers shower and bath in minimalist tones of black and white. Even in the shower you can enjoy the panoramic views with complete privacy. An additional guest bedroom with king bed and ensuite shower (perfect for a couple, with private balcony and views) can also be found on this floor, together with two twin bedrooms which are ideal for families with children and share a large bathroom and terrace.
Bathrooms are contemporary with concrete walls and white or silver finishes. They are large, well ventilated and, where possible, also enjoy the views. Off the end of the lower level is a small garden area. The lower level also houses the staff quarters and a fully equipped laundry.
