The Experience
The masterfully-conceived Villa Issi is big, bold and sublime. A four-bedroom villa in the heart of Seminyak that dares to be different by veering away from traditional Balinese architecture in favour of a chic, edgy design, yet embraces the best that the island provides in terms of impeccable service and warm Balinese hospitality.
The architectural concept is of grand proportions; huge doors and space, with crisp white interiors characterised by uncluttered simplicity, ensuring that guests will fully appreciate the textures of the dominant components and stonework. Distinguishing features at Issi include an elevated ironwood deck that bridges a 25m swimming pool, together with a perforated steel and wood exterior screen which diffuses the sunlight to create pixelated shadow patterns.
From the ‘wenge’ black wood kitchen units to the grey terrazzo bathtubs and glossy black resin washbasins; from the custom-cut organic lava stone walls to the funky steel façade, the theme is black and white and shades thereof. This is further reflected in the sexy black and white leather furnishings, right down to the zebra-skin rug. Only the artwork – designed by the owners, along with the cushions and the ceramics – presents colour, in its brightest most brilliant form.
In keeping with its urban sophistication, Villa Issi introduces intriguing high-tech living and entertaining facilities that ordinary folk covet. For example, the whole house is wired for sound with a Bose system and 20 speakers set in the ceilings throughout, and controlled in every room. In the evenings, the mood is fused with an innovative Lutron lighting control and home entertainment dimming system, while each king-size bed is fitted with a pair of white leather reclining bed heads.
Villa Issi is refined and adult in not only its design but also in whom it is designed for. If you are a family with kids, this isn’t the villa for you. If, however, you are a group of friends looking for a peaceful, ultra-modern holiday pad in the centre of town with five-star food ordered from a priced menu, prepared by a top-class chef and served by your personal butler, then you’re onto a winner.

“Villa Issi is big, bold and sublime and dares to be different.”
It was a real privilege to stay at Villa Issi, this is a gorgeous, funky, fancy pad where no expense has been spared. It’s all about space, ultra-modern architecture, more space, high-technology and super comfortable furnishings, ranging from leather chairs to beanbag-sun-loungers. The only antiquated elements at the villa are the 200-year-old frangipani trees. Beautiful! Everywhere there are walls-of-glass that open to the balmy Bali breezes. The elevated deck that bridges the swimming pool is a fabulous feature and the kitchen is a dream, we’d never before seen such a state-of-the art fridge! In fact, there are surprises at every twist and turn, including lots of places to escape to and be on your own. This is a really exciting villa to stay in.

Highlights
We felt like we were living in a work of art. We loved all of the different materials and textures, the black and white theme, and the quirky humorous artwork. What’s more, the staff proved to be as discreet and as super-efficient as you would expect from a residence of this calibre.
Surprises
There is a lot of floor-to-ceiling glass in the villa; it is thick and tempered, so it won’t break but it is just something to be aware of in order to avoid a bruised forehead.

This is not our first stay in a Bali villa but Villa Issi is absolutely the best it is spacious, has good facilities and room amenities and a lovely 25 m lap pool. Moreover, it is clean, well-kept and staffed by an excellent teamed by Dewa. Thank you Dewa and team for making our 4 nights stay a memorable one. Nothing is too difficult for them even figuring out how to connect my console to the TV. They are absolutely the best.

Have very much enjoyed our second stay at this lovely villa. Architectural stunning and the pool is best ever. Nothing was too much trouble for Dewa and his wonderful, attentive team. Our experience at Villa Issi exceed our expectation. From the villa itself and all its amenities, beautiful decor and its staff and services was exceptional. The description and photos on Airbnb does not it justice. The staff set the experience apart from others. They were attentive, thoughtful, helpful, and always accommodating. They are the heart of Villa Issi. Will absolutely visit again and recommend to family and friends. Thanks from all of us for making our trip to Bali that we will never forget.

Exceptional. The best villa in Bali. Everything from ambiance to staff friendliness and attentiveness was just exceptional. Been visiting every now and then since 2015, Issi is still the best for me. Well done guys.

First thank you Dewa and all the wonderful staff of the Villa Issi. Beautiful architecture and amazing pool but without kind, thoughtful, considerate staff, our stay was not have been as magical. There was a small maintenance issue which I forgot to mention when we arrived back from the day out. Someone had noticed and fixed. I must mention Gusde and his beautifully, elegantly prepared food. So delicious and we were sad that we were out so much and we only had two meals prepared by him and great breakfast of course. Thank you.

Excellent service which makes a huge difference on the whole experience. Villa is beautiful and kept in perfect condition daily, we had nothing to complaint about and I always complain lol. Chef is very good we felt like we are eating in a restaurant every time. Staff is very nice, kind and attentive. Just perfect. Best villa there in Seminyak for sure, we have have seen many, stayed in few and so happy we have come across Villa Issi, it made our last 10 days perfect.

The breakfast was excellent, the cleaning was outstanding all present 24 hours was excellent. We have no complaint and we plan to come and encourage our friend to come in the future.

We had a pleasant stay in Villa Issi. We were two families of 4 and the villa is very spacious for 8 people. The decor is very trendy and villa is well equipped. Outdoor and especially the swimming pool is amazing with a relaxing atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and highly professional. Having an excellent in house Chef is definitively a plus. Highly recommended.

Upon entering the villa we were welcomed by the wonderful staff and we absolutely embraced the environment. The staff were constantly busy attending to all our needs but appeared invisible! Nothing was to much trouble particularly from constantly helping us all with our individual playlist. The rooms were beautifully presented each day. Our family has just experienced a week of total relaxation at the most superb villa. Service, facilities and food second to none. When we arrived to Villa Issi with our two young children we were hoping for a sanctuary to unwind and just enjoy ourselves as a family. Everyone here exceeded our high expectations. Everyone was very attentive, from recommending places to eat, taking care of our travel arrangements to just a little things like catering meals to our children and even making sure our pool floats were always inflated. We thoroughly enjoyed your warm and welcoming hospitality and look forward to returning again one day soon.

Villa Issi was a dream experience. The house itself is well designed and well maintained. But beyond that, the staff were the most warm and helpful. Everyone felt right at home, including our baby girl of 10 months. We will come back.

Villa Issi is great. It exceed our expectation. Really beautiful and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful, accommodating. I like that they go the extra mile to assist us, making our stay here a very lovely one. Food (breakfast and BBQ dinner) is very delicious, thanks to the Chef. The ISSI villa offered our family of eight days spacious and luxury accommodation. the rooms were large and clean with the beautiful outdoor bathroom. the villa is built on a large block of land with a pleasing garden. the swimming pool was a great feature of the villa. all of the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate any request. I would recommend this villa to everyone looking for luxury accommodation for a family of any ages.

We have had the most amazing holiday here at Villa Issi. We have stayed at a number of villas in Seminyak but Villa Issi is a stand out. The villa is spacious and clean and has the best finishes of any villa we have stayed at. The staff are beyond amazing. Nothing is too much to ask, Nina, Ping, Ketut, Dewa, Putu, Nyoman, and Gusde swept with our son, taught us to cook, drove to pick up coffees, milkshakes and the list goes on. Without doubt we will be back, in fact we have already booked for next year. Thank you for the best holiday ever.

Location
From Villa Issi is only minutes – by foot – in various directions to the main street of Jalan Kaya Aya (also known as Jalan Laksmana, Oberoi Street and Eat Street) where you will find a slew of great dining options, with fabulous cuisine from all over the world. The street is also home to more than enough boutiques for all ages and genders, several convenience stores, ATMs, and the small shopping mall, Seminyak Square, complete with cafés and more restaurants. Within 500m, you will find The Oberoi Hotel, and perhaps most importantly, the northern section of the sweeping Seminyak Beach. It really doesn’t get much more central than this.

About Seminyak

Rooms
Villa Issi comprises a two-storey building, a self-contained guesthouse, a gym/massage room and a swimming pool within a walled garden. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors throughout can be opened to the terraces, balcony and pool deck or closed for air-conditioned comfort.
Forming the heart of the house, the dining room is furnished with a table for 12, while the adjacent feature kitchen brings flair to the cooking place in black wood and stainless steel, with a central countertop, oven, five-burner hob, state-of-the-art Boretti fridge, and top-of-the-range tapware. A service kitchen is tucked away out of sight at the entrance to the villa.
The spacious, elegant living room introduces large black sofas, a pair of black leather chairs, and a 55-inch satellite-channel TV/DVD player.
On the upper floor, the air-conditioned master bedroom continues the black and white theme with white walls, black drapes, and conceptual artwork. Facing the king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, complete with DVD player, appears from a white cabinet at the press of a button. This spacious suite is complemented by a walk-in dressing room and a bathroom fitted with a soaking tub, twin washbasins, and two walk-in monsoon showers, one indoors and one outdoors. The air-conditioned study bedroom next door is furnished with a wall desk, a king-size bed, and a 32-inch TV. A large dressing room is located behind, while the ensuite bathroom presents a monsoon shower. A balcony-veranda wraps around two sides of the upper floor and bridges the swimming pool to form a deck for relaxation, parties and sunset cocktails.
The single-storey guest pavilion presents two more air-conditioned bedrooms each with a king-size bed and a 32-inch TV/DVD player. Walk-through dressing rooms lead to the garden bathrooms, each fitted with a monsoon shower under a pergola roof, a soaking tub and twin washbasins.
A stand-alone gym and massage room is well-equipped with a treadmill, a pilates power machine and fitball, plus a 32-inch TV, and adjoining shower room. The garden is filled with flowering trees, ancient frangipanis, and a stunning 25m swimming pool, bordered by an ironwood deck, furnished with aluminium sunloungers and beanbags. A covered outdoor area houses a barbecue and solid wood table with bench seating.

This is the (north) western extension of Seminyak, Legian and Kuta beaches. Here you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas, surf, swim between the flags in the areas patrolled by lifeguards, or take long seaside walks. It’s not the best beach for swimming due to currents but there’s plenty of space for kids to get the bucket and spade out.
