The Experience
Surrounded by other luxury villas, on a quiet cul de sac, Villa Windu Sari is contemporary, comfortable and conveniently central. High walls, ensuring total privacy, enclose a pair of two-storey pavilions built perpendicularly to one another to form an L-shape. A 14m rectangular swimming pool dominates the garden space, where palms and other tropical flora are planted around the walls. Along the boundary flows an elegant water feature next to a shady balé (gazebo), bringing the tranquil sounds of running water. One pavilion houses the common areas, the highlight of which is the open-sided living and dining room with its vaulted ceilings, excellent sound system and comfortable furnishings. The second pavilion contains five large en-suite bedrooms - four kings and one queen, perfect for families or groups who want a self-contained retreat.
Completed in 2008 and renovated in 2021, Villa Windu Sari has a distinctly modern feel with fresh painted walls, exquisite light fittings and cool marble-tiled floors. Touches of Bali are introduced with the abundance of teak, garden bathrooms (downstairs), rattan chairs and terraces of local Palimanan stone which run round the swimming pool and right up to the open-sided living areas and ground floor bedrooms – perfect for barbecues or alfresco entertaining. There’s also a fully equipped gym, media room/office and a kitchen where the full-time chef prepares dishes selected from a priced menu (daily breakfast is included). A staff of butlers, house keepers and security serve Villa Windu Sari all under the guidance of a villa manager who can also arrange in-room spa services and car/driver hire (extra).

Contemporary, comfortable and conveniently central.
During our inspection of Villa Windu Sari we were treated to great service and cuisine by the staff. The villa is modern, functional, practical and most importantly comfortable. We felt very at home here. Our visit was with a group of friends and we found Windu Sari well laid out and generous enough for us to be able to enjoy each other’s company or retreat for some privacy and solitude when we wished. The villa would also work well for families.

Highlights
The villa’s common areas are excellent: the air-conditioned upstairs sitting room is perfect for retreating from the heat of the Bali sun or curling up with a good book, while the open living pavilion downstairs has plenty of soft couches and a good sound system, making a comfortable base close to the pool. The garden is gorgeous, and the villa has been impeccably maintained.
Surprises
Villa Windu Sari is in a residential neighbourhood so we did get intermittent sounds of daily life, which can be a little intrusive, but will hardly ruin your holiday.

Our week in Windu Sari is one of the most memorable experiences we have ever had in Bali!. The Staff are amazing and helpful, friendly and great looks. I recommend the omlette for breakfast. Villa based massage before going to Seasalt, Fire, Kudeta or La lucciola. Stayed at Villa Windu Sari from 22 June to July 1. I have been to Bali countless times over the years, and usually stayed in a five star hotel, but this time we travelled with a group of friends, so we decided to book a villa, and it was the best decision we ever made. Most memorable however were the staff who were on call 24 hours a day, something you don't find even in a five star hotel. The staff ensured the villa was kept spotless and at the same time catered to all our needs during our stay. The Villa manager Bayu, and his team we just amazing, professional, very friendly and made us all fell so welcome and blissfully spoilt during our stay. Thank You Bayu and your wonderful Team. I enjoyed my vacation at your villa so much, that i came back with my family. Super friendly and helpful staff and excellent cook are the main factor of our memorable vacation. Good food, great service, and a wonderful vacation, we will definitely come back. Thank for everything love this place, so i only went out once out of 5 days. What an absolutely magical week you created for our family. From the moment we arrived, we felt the warmth, caring and attentiveness from the Windu Sari team. We were thrilled that we arranged to have the seafood buffet upon arrival. Despite dining at many nice restaurants in Ubud and Seminyak, the family says its their favourite meal (and its our departure dinner as well). We so appreciated and noticed all of the special touches, the fresh flowers, the candles, the cold towels upon arrival back from day trips. We cannot thank you enough for the hospitality. Our first family vacation in Asia and hopefully not the last.

Our family stayed in the Villa Windu Sari over the Christmas holidays and we absolutely love the villa especially the staff. We all had such an amazing time in the villa. We were so spoilt by the staff here. They made such great effort to make sure we were comfortable!!. The meals from breakfast to dinner were super delicious especially the Christmas BBQ that we had. There are many villas in Bali but this villa top them all and it was the staff that made the difference. Thank you for making our Christmas holiday an enjoyable and exceptional one!!!

Our small family had a wonderful, relaxing stay in Windu Sari. The staff were friendly and professional and were so helpful and lovely. We have stayed in many Elite Havens villas and they are always of a very high standard. We love the Balinese people, so gentle and forgiving. The food and service was excellent. Thanks again to Bayu and staff.

The excellent management squad showed courtesy and kindness from the first email until our arrival. We appreciate the entire staff of the villa, always happy and smiling. The service was perfect (midnight Nutella crepes for kids - fabulous). The accommodation is awesome, we will be surely book here for our next Indonesian vacation. Our group of 8 friends + one infant stayed for 8 nights to celebrate a 40th. Windu Sari was the perfect choice! There were plenty of areas for us to hang out together (poolside loungers and day bed, lounge, dining table, media room, outdoor terrace) which also then created lots of flexible spaces for people to take quiet time when needed. We requisitioned the media room as our games room (charades!) and for smaller groups loved playing cards under the cooling fan of the day bed.
The staff could not have been more perfect and attentive. Bayu and his team were amazing. Every need - e.g. tonic purchasing from nearby supermarket, whipping up snacks, making drinks, cleaning rooms at times that suited baby and adult naps - was catered for with a typically large Indonesian smile. The food produced by the chef was very good quality and enjoyed by all. We were delighted with the team's help in throwing a dinner party (they decorated beautifully) and surprised the birthday girl with a cake (and more smiles). While we were only 8, the staff were so accommodating and kind to upsize the dinner table for a group of 15 for a couple of celebratory meals.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough to unwind and enjoy the charms of Indonesia.

The accommodation at the villa is very luxurious, with 4 huge king sized bedrooms opening out to either a balcony complete with daybed or the garden. Each room features an en-suite bathroom, TV and iPod dock. We spent relaxing days around the pool sunbathing on the sunbeds and reading on the enormous, comfortable bale. You can select your own music on the sonos system and retire to the air conditioned TV lounge to watch a movie. The pool is an amazing shade of blue and looks spectacular lit up at night. The villa has a traditional Balinese atmosphere with open sided living pavilions tastefully decorated with flowers and art. The grounds are very well maintained and the staff are amazing. They were unobtrusive, efficient, friendly and helpful - preparing breakfast daily, making cocktails, ordering transport, suggesting dining alternatives, organising in-house massages and preparing our rooms for retiring each evening. Their attention to detail was second to none. This was a wonderful family holiday which I can highly recommend to anyone planning to visit Bali!

Don't hesitate to book this villa. Its an amazing traditional style villa so if you haven't been to Bali, this is perfect. The staff are awesome and its far enough from the main drags of Seminayak to feel like you have your own little peace of heaven. We had small children and they were looked after in every way i.e. they provided a temporary pool fence and they organised a fantastic baby sitter, got us nappies etc. Don't bother reading any other reviews…just book and go.

The villa, it's staff and the booking and arrival process were exceptional from beginning to end. We could not fault anything. The food was wonderful and reasonably priced and staff were helpful and unobtrusive. The pool fence (at no extra cost) gave us peace of mind with the kids and didn't ruin the look of the villa. We would highly rock mend the villa to others and would definitely stay again.

We have stayed in this villa many times and love it! The staff are amazing, and the food is fantastic. If you have kids, this villa is 100% perfect. Your every need is catered for. We could not recommend Made and his team enough.

Location
Villa Windu Sari sits on the outer edges of the ‘golden triangle’ of Seminyak – close enough to be convenient but far enough away to enjoy the peace. The vilal lies down a long cul-de-sac within a 24-hour guarded community. The area contains a wide mix of high-end villa and resort developments, chic shopping, bars, beachclubs and internationally acclaimed restaurants. Within a kilometre or two of the villa is the Potato Head beach club, and nearby restaurants include La Lucciola, Living Room, Hu’u Bar, Sarong and the W Retreat. The villa is less than a kilometre from Petitenget Beach, renowned for its world-class surf breaks, panoramic coastline views and legendary sunsets.

Located approximately two hours’ flying time from Singapore the island is serviced by an international airport at Denpasar with direct flights to and from many major cities in Asia, Europe and Australia and many more via Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital.
The island offers an impressive range of leisure and lifestyle amenities including world-class golf courses, wonderful seascapes for surfing, diving and snorkelling as well as luxurious spas, chic boutiques, tropical forests, towering volcanoes and international cuisine.
Rooms
Stepping through a wooden Bali-style gateway guests are greeted by a 14m swimming pool (a pool fence is available) around two sides of which are a pair of two-storey pavilions. One pavilion houses the villa’s common areas – the living/dining room and kitchen – and the other its five spacious bedrooms.
Villa Windu Sari’s imposing combined living and dining area is open-sided and cooled by powerful ceiling fans (no air-conditioning); two steps descend from here to swimming pool and surrounding terrace. Elegant light fittings reach up into the vaulted ceiling, while comfortable sofas and a teak dining table which can be extended to seat 12 make this the room the social hub of the villa. Set behind is the modern functional kitchen.
Upstairs is the villa’s entertainment hub: an extremely comfortable air-conditioned sitting room with a 50-inch flat-screen, satellite-channel TV and DVD player, soft upholstered sofas and easy chairs. Across a small sun terrace is an air-conditioned gymnasium with top-of-the-range, well-maintained equipment.
Each bedroom is fully air-conditioned and features sliding glass doors, teak shutters, wooden flooring and an ensuite bathroom. The rooms are adorned with different shades of Jim Thompson fabrics, which make up the richly coloured cushion covers and the yielding wall panels behind the beds. Four of the rooms are equipped with 32-inch cable channel TVs, while the fifth bedroom is a convertible media room with a 50-inch plasma TV. Located upstairs, the king-bedded master suite affords views of the neighbouring patchwork of villas; one remaining grassy field gives guests a taste of the villa’s former rural setting. The master and the two other upstairs bedrooms (both king-bedded, convertible to twin) share a long balcony overlooking the villa and surrounding area. One of the downstairs bedrooms is furnished with twin beds (convertible to a king), the other with a king-size bed. All of the bathrooms have bathtubs and rain showers except the downstairs king, which instead has two showers. The downstairs bathrooms are both open air, adding yet more to the tropical experience.
